Objective: 

The course will enable the students to understand the elements and principles of printmaking, apply basic principles of relief printmaking, and gain knowledge in preparing matrices for various textures. Additionally, students will learn to execute the steps in relief printmaking techniques such as linoleum block, cardboard relief, and woodcut.

CO38: Develop a series of daily sketches, and layouts of the final works by observing global trends in printmaking.

 

CO39: Create submission displaying technical know-how of relief printmaking in given mediums that would later help in developing skills to become a graphic designer.  

 

CO40: Produce a print that illustrates the given topic while displaying technical and compositional skills. 

 

CO41: Argue her attained skills of printmaking while observing professional ethics and studio code of conduct.

Introduction of Relief Printmaking (Lino/ Mdf/ Wood/ Sun board)

  • 3 works in B/W (Size: 8”x10” to 12”x 18” 20 layouts)
  • 1 work in Colour (Size: 8”x10” to 12”x 18” 20 layouts)
  • 5 sketches Per Day
