Objective: 

This course will enable the students to- 

  1. Explain and summarize history of Indian art.
  2. Analyze and compare works of art contextually.
  3. Learn and understand the historical background.
  4. Learn and identify the style and subject matters of cave paintings, Rajasthani and  Mughal, Pahari miniature paintings .
  5. Determine the main characteristics of the Indian paintings.

The students will be able to-

CO13:  Able to locate, interpret and analyze the painting’s method of execution,subject matter, medium and techniques.

CO14:  Recognize and understand wall and miniature of paintings and able to assess or compare the qualities of artworks.

CO15:  Relate and examine works of paintings to wider historical context.

CO16:  Analyze, evaluate and compare contemporary works with their art historical antecedents.
